The Hooga Natal Programme.

A workshop for every season.

Join us at workshops throughout your pregnancy journey, as well as into your postnatal chapter.

Each workshop is priced at £60 per person. Book concurrent workshops for a 10% discount.

What can you expect to experience and receive at each workshop?

Spring (1st Trimester)

Ultimate self-care during a quiet time between discovering and announcing your pregnancy.

Women often feel nauseous, tired and achy around this time, which can be overwhelming if you are keeping things quiet until you are ready.

Allow yourself time to be held in a safe space with other women at a similar stage to you.

Learn about this physical, emotional and transitional stage and immerse yourself in self care, within a protective womb like atmosphere of movement and sound.

Step into our woodland space to get the benefits of nature and enjoy nourishing tea or soup around The Nature Circle.

During your first workshop you will experience and receive:

  • Your pregnancy journal
  • Early pregnancy support and preparation for next phases
  • Beginnings of breathing for relaxation of body and mind
  • Create a daily practice of flowing movement to unwind
  • Drift into a state of bliss with guided meditation
  • Step into nature and learn mindfulness and grounding techniques to calm the nervous system
  • Nourish your body with soothing soups and teas
  • Time to talk and build the foundations of your community

“When the roots are deep there is no reason to fear the wind”

Summer (2nd Trimester)

Entering into the second phase of pregnancy often comes with celebration when officially announcing you are expecting.

Feel the relief of movement and allow your body time to flow and relax; relieving any underlying aches or concerns.

Celebrate with soothing sound and be guided into meditation to feel connection with your growing baby and changing body.

Make use of your growing energy levels and experience a guided woodland walk, putting mindfulness techniques into practice.

Gather around The Nature Circle to share nourishing food, drink and pregnancy support.

During your second workshop you will experience and receive:

  • First steps into biomechanics with animal movement
  • Sound bath with voice, drums and gongs
  • Empowering guided meditation
  • Mindful woodland walk
  • Guided journaling with your workbooks
  • Pregnancy support and preparation
  • Energising food and teas

Autumn (3rd Trimester)

As the arrival of your baby draws closer, we focus on the changes that are taking place in body and mind.

Validate and reflect on all you are experiencing in a safe space of like-minded women.

Take the time to share and process your hopes and fears for the next chapter and the journey to motherhood.

Spend time focusing on the ways you have already prepared yourself for birth and motherhood, and how you can plan for a gentle and nurturing postnatal recovery.

During your third workshop you will experience and receive:

  • Explore ways to recognise what you need, and discover tools and techniques to ask for help
  • Emotional preparation for birth and motherhood and an understanding of matrescence
  • Learn about the four pillars of postnatal recovery
  • Gentle exercises to prepare your pelvic floor for childbirth
  • Mindful relaxation and affirmations to focus on your adjustment to becoming a mum
  • Ways to build your village

Winter (4th trimester)

Your baby has arrived, and you are gently bonding, adjusting and nurturing as you transition into your new role as a mother.

This period of time can be challenging but hugely rewarding, with the needs of a mother being easily forgotten.

We will gently remind and guide you to re-centre your own wellbeing, and support you in your onward chapter as mother and parent.

We provide time to share experiences with others who have been beside you throughout this programme, as well as an opportunity to validate and build lifelong connections.

During this workshop you will experience and receive:

  • A safe space to reflect on your birth experience
  • Practical tools to support you to navigate your onward journey as a mother
  • A guide featuring a network of birth workers who can provide onward support
  • Baby-wearing expert advice
  • Infant feeding support
  • Guided meditation and suggested affirmations for new mums
  • A natural environment to gently explore while establishing your motherhood connections
  • Nourishing and nutrient dense foods

Join us for ongoing Hooga meet ups and events. Stay connected with other families and enjoy our nature settings together.
